Many thanks to all the people who helped carry, setup and bring home all the things required for our tent and coffee shop.
Special mention to the Maleny Pump House, Connondale Shop, Montville Coffee, Barung Contracting, Noel and Tim and my great Baristas.

The "New" Barung Native Plant Nursery - Porters Lane, Maleny

I am sure you will be pleased to know that we have lodged our responses to the Material Change of Use application, requests for further information, with the Sunshine Coast Regional Council and the Environmental Protection Agency.

Developing these responses and designs involved many, many discussions with interested individuals and groups over more than seven months. Thanks for all your help. We believe we have been able to accommodate all reasonable requests, answered many questions along the way and have ended up with great designs for what will be an excellent community asset.

Our public notice boards for the Material Change of Use will go up in the next week to notify the wider community of our intentions and to provide the opportunity for community members to comment on the MCU application. There will also be a notice in the local paper as well as letters to adjoining land owners.

If you would like to support Barung in establishing this important community resource you can send in a letter of support for Barung’s new native plant nursery to the Sunshine Coast Regional Council.

Some of the concept plan images are now on display in the window of the Barung Resource Centre (next to the Maleny Post Office) so drop by and have a look when you can. Also all the details of the MCU application and processes are available on the Sunshine Coast Regional Council web site.
